The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Pipestem Creek near Pingree through Friday evening. The warning area includes land immediately adjacent to Pipestem Creek and does not include any populated areas.
As of Thursday morning, the level at Pipestem Creek west of Pingree was at 11.5 feet. Flood stage is 11 feet. Releases from Pipestem Dam were increased to 400 cubic feet per second Tuesday.
Flooding at this level affects farmland, but no major cities or roads. The creek is expected to fall below flood stage by Friday morning depending on weather conditions in the area.
