Seven sentenced on felony charges in Southeast District Court

A Class A felony is punishable by 20 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Seven people were sentenced recently on felony charges in Southeast District Court in Jamestown.

Sean Michael Turner, 35, Medford, Oregon, pleaded guilty to luring minors by computer, corruption or solicitation of minors and possession of certain materials prohibited, Class C felonies.

Turner was accused of using any computer communication system or other electronic means to communicate with a minor who he knew was 15 to 17 years old to engage in sexual acts, contact or performance, taking a substantial step toward meeting with the minor, participating in one or more sexual acts with a minor and having digital files that include sexual conduct by a minor on his cellphone from Oct. 15 to Dec. 30.

Judge Troy LeFevre sentenced Turner to 48 months in the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation with credit for 102 days served. LeFevre placed Turner on five years supervised probation and ordered him to pay a $400 criminal administration fee, A $100 defense/facility administration fee, $165 fine/state, $35 indigent defense application fee, $300 recoupment and a $25 victim-witness fee.

A Class C felony is punishable by five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Leanne Marie Olson, 38, Jamestown, pleaded guilty to prohibited acts A/controlled substances, a Class A felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C felony.

Olson was accused of possessing 50 or more grams of a mixture or substance containing methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possessing drug paraphernalia used with methamphetamine on Oct. 4

Judge Daniel Narum sentenced Olson to one day in the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation with credit for one day served. Narum placed Olson on 24 months supervised probation and ordered her to successfully complete drug court.

A Class A felony is punishable by 20 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Scott Richard Iwen, 44, Hannaford, North Dakota, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C felony.

Iwen was accused of possessing one or more pipes used with methamphetamine with a previous conviction in 2018 on March 7.

Narum sentenced Iwen to 36 days in the Stutsman County Correctional Center with credit for 36 days served. Narum also placed Iwen on one year supervised probation.

Wesley Thomas Klosterman, 35, Bismarck, pleaded guilty to theft of property, a Class C felony.

Klosterman was accused of taking and/or illegitimately keeping various tools valued over $1,000 but less than $10,000 on Sept. 10.

LeFevre sentenced Klosterman to 18 months in the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation with credit for seven days served. LeFevre placed Klosterman on 18 months supervised probation and ordered him to pay a $400 criminal administration fee, $100 defense/facility administration fee, $35 indigent defense application fee, $300 indigent recoupment, $1,100 restitution and a $25 victim-witness fee.

Alexis Anne Wolff, 22, Jamestown, pleaded guilty to simple assault, a Class C felony, and simple assault, a Class B misdemeanor.

Wolff was accused of kicking a Jamestown Police Officer and causing pain and a red mark, scuff mark, abrasion and/or contusion and striking and pulling the hair of another individual on Jan. 3.

LeFevre sentenced Wolff to one day in the Stutsman County Correctional Center with credit for one day served. LeFevre ordered Wolff to not possess or own firearms for 360 days and ordered her to pay a $40 criminal administration fee, $100 defense/facility administration fee, $35 indigent defense application fee, $300 indigent recoupment and a $25 victim-witness fee.

A Class B misdemeanor is punishable by 30 days in prison and a $1,500 fine.

Jesse J. Wetsit, 31, Jamestown, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C felony, and preventing arrest or discharge of other duties, a Class A misdemeanor.

Wetsit was accused of possessing drug paraphernalia used with methamphetamine and preventing a public servant from effecting an arrest by creating a substantial risk of bodily injury to a public servant and requiring substantial force to overcome resistance to effecting an arrest or discharge of the duty on March 29.

LeFevre sentenced Wetsit to 21 days in the Stutsman County Correctional Center with 21 days credit for time served. LeFevre placed Wetsit on 18 months supervised probation and ordered him to pay a $400 criminal administration fee, $100 defense/facility administration fee, $35 indigent defense application fee, $300 indigent recoupment and a $25 victim-witness fee.

A Class A misdemeanor is punishable by 360 days in prison and a $3,000 fine.

Joseph Wade Hodson, 32, Bismarck, pleaded guilty to two counts of contact by bodily fluids or excrement, Class C felonies.

Hodson was accused of causing bodily fluid to come in contact with two different Stutsman County Correctional Center employees on July 30, 2021.

LeFevre sentenced Hodson to one year and one day in the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation concurrent with a previous conviction in 2017. LeFevre also placed Hodson on 18 months supervised probation.
