The Stutsman County Relay for Life held Friday afternoon into early Saturday morning had 225 people on 20 teams walking laps at the University of Jamestown's Taylor Stadium track to raise funds for eth American Cancer Society.

The Stutsman County Relay for Life held Friday afternoon into early Saturday morning had 225 people on 20 teams walking laps at the University of Jamestown's Taylor Stadium track to raise funds for eth American Cancer Society.

The event, in its 19th year, had decent weather for its start at 2 p.m. Members of the Jamestown High School football team helped set up the luminaria around the track  Friday afternoon.

The most of the Relay's events took place Friday evening, with the opening ceremony at 6:15 p.m., followed by the survivors lap and caregivers lap. The Aberdeen (S.D.) Fire and Rescue Pipes and Drun Corps performed the national anthem as part of that ceremony.
