BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- A Bismarck man has pleaded not guilty in the carjacking of a newspaper deliverer whose car was used minutes later in a gas station robbery.

Twenty-five-year-old Matthew Tschaekofske faces two counts of armed robbery in the May 22 incident.

Police say a Bismarck Tribune delivery man was ordered out of his car at gunpoint about 3:45 a.m. that day. Authorities say the armed suspect then took off in the car and about 15 minutes later robbed a gas station clerk at gunpoint.

No one was hurt in either robbery.
