MINOT - A 19-year-old Minot man who has been charged with carrying two loaded handguns, marijuana and paraphernalia in a locked safe in his car has been booked into the Ward County Jail.
Cameron Oster was sitting in the parking lot of a Hardees in Minot when a call came in about a suspicious person. Police found marijuana paraphernalia and an open bottle of whiskey in an initial search of the vehicle. After obtaining a search warrant, they found the weapons - one of which was reported stolen from Pasco County, Fla. The other handgun’s serial number had been obliterated, Minot police said.
When Oster was searched, police also said they found a butterfly knife on him.
The teenager has been charged with felony possession of a stolen firearm and misdemeanor charges of alterations to a firearm, carrying a concealed dangerous knife and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
