DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) -- Authorities in Dickinson are investigating a series of fire extinguisher thefts.
Dickinson police captain Dustin Dassinger said eight fire extinguishers were taken over the weekend from Trinity High School, including a couple that had been replaced after an earlier theft.
Dassinger also said nine other fire extinguishers were taken from ARC Housing over Memorial Day weekend, and investigators believe the thefts are related.
Police have recovered some of the extinguishers, which Dassinger said were discharged and abandoned.
No suspects have been identified.
