A two-vehicle accident caused $5,000 in damage Monday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Donna Rothwell, 57, 3811 78th Ave. S.E., was driving a 2000 General Motors around 6:40 p.m.

She was traveling east on 10th Street Southeast in the outside lane.

April Byers, 28, 1209 Sixth Ave. S.E., was driving a 2006 Ford passenger car north on Fifth Avenue Southeast, stopped at a stop sign.

Byers entered the intersection after stopping. Rothwell struck Byers.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and no injuries were reported.

The GM sustained $1,500 in damage. The Ford sustained $3,500 in damage.

Byers was cited for failure to yield after stopping.
