CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) -- Four snowplows were sent out on Interstate 94 west of Fargo after a truck hauling wet distillers grain, an ethanol plant byproduct, left part of its load on the interstate.
The Highway Patrol said the interstate near Casselton became slippery after the spill late Monday morning and a minivan slid out of control, then was hit by a car.
Highway Patrol Sgt. Troy Hirscher said three people were taken to a Fargo hospital with what were believed to be minor injuries. The patrol said a helicopter landed on the interstate to pick up one of the victims. Traffic was held up for at least half an hour.
