DULUTH, Minn.-Officials of the Duluth Air and Aviation Expo announced Monday that they have landed the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds aerial team to highlight the 2016 event set for July 9-10 at Duluth International Airport.
The event is said to be the largest airshow in Minnesota and is the only show in the Upper Midwest to feature the Thunderbirds in 2016, said Ryan Kern, the air show's president.
The Thunderbirds last performed in Duluth in 2010.
