BISMARCK -- A North Dakota Department of Agriculture trade mission to Cuba has been postponed due to the financial collapse of a major air carrier to the island.
Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said Mexicana Airlines has canceled all operations, including the department's scheduled flights to Havana.
"At this late date, tickets on other carriers are either unavailable or very expensive," he said in a statement.
Goehring said the Sept. 22-25 trade mission will be rescheduled, possibly for late November.
