Wednesday's races at the Jamestown Speedway proved as firey as the fireworks that followed as Mark Trautner came from the middle of the pack and rallied past a veteran field to claim a feature trophy in the WISSOTA Modifieds race.
Rookie Eric Edwards started on the pole but gave up the lead to Trautner 11 laps in on a restart before finishing fourth, his best run of the season. Jerry Lamb placed second in front of Leo Burkhardsmier, while John Corell was third.
Redge Nohrenburg took an early lead in the WISSOTA Street Stocks feature, grabbing the lead spot from his second-row start on the opening lap and holding on for the victory.
Rory Opp started a row behind Nohrenburg and finished second, followed by Rusty Kollman, last week's feature winner Chris Michaelsohn and Luke Nelson.
After four different leaders in the first four laps of the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature before Brock Gronwold led the fifth revolution.

In a wild race, Gronwold would relinquish the top spot to Rich Pavlicek, who had led in the fourth lap, before eventually claiming the checkered flag. Pavlicek finished second, followed by Jim Morlock, Rusty Kollman and Derek Bernstein.
Taylor Weight won his first Jamestown Speedway Bomber feature, taking the lead from Tracy Voightman on the second lap and never trailing again.
Ryan Carr finished second, while Paul Wanzek, Matt Gumke and Joie Pfaff rounded out the top five placers.
Glenn and Grant Christenson went wire to wire to win their second Road Hog race this week while Chase Biel and Seth Schulz were second.
Racing continues at the Jamestown Speedway on Saturday night with the NOSA Sprint Car special.
