MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota Twins will call up third baseman Brian Buscher from Triple-A Rochester before Friday's game against Cleveland.
Buscher began the season with Double-A New Britain, where he hit .308 with seven home runs and 37 RBI in 63 games.
He was promoted to Triple-A Rochester on June 20, where he batted .313 with six home runs and 20 RBI in 35 games.
The Twins said they would transfer outfielder Josh Rabe to the 60-day disabled list to make room for Buscher.
