The Edgeley Fire Department was busy on Wednesday after two grass fires broke out in a span of an hour, according to fire chief Steve Powers.
The first fire happened around 3 p.m. six miles north and one mile east of Edgeley. The second fire happened around 4 p.m. 12 miles north and five and a half miles east of Edgeley. Both happened in fields.
"Anytime you have fires and 40 mph winds, it's a little stressful," Powers said.
Close to a dozen Edgeley firefighters were at both blazes, and the LaMoure Fire Department brought an additional eight fire fighters to the second blaze.
The first fire was caused by a faulty bearing in a combine and the cause of the second fire is unknown.
No one was injured and damage was estimated at a couple hundred dollars to the combine for the first fire.
