ST. CLOUD – Two people were killed in a four-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon near St. Cloud.

The crash was reported at 4:54 p.m. July 28 on U.S. Highway 10 at 32nd Street Southeast.

According to the State Patrol, a 2008 Chevy Impala, driven by Abby Gayle Redmond, 21, of Sartell, was heading west on Highway 10 when the vehicle crossed the grass median near 32nd Street Southeast and collided with vehicles traveling east on Highway 10.

The State Patrol report said the Impala collided with a 2014 Chevy Suburban driven by Kelly Jo Skoog, 41, of Becker, and those two vehicles rotated into a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by David William Evans, 45, of Sauk Rapids. A 2011 Dodge Ram driven by Steven Patrick Lovett, 53, of St. Cloud, then collided with the rear of the Suburban and came to rest on the train tracks that run alongside Highway 10.

Redmond, who was driving the Impala, and Evans, who was driving the motorcycle, were both killed.

Skoog was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and Lovett was not injured, according to the State Patrol.

The three individuals in the automobiles were wearing seat belts. Evans was not wearing a helmet.

Alcohol was not detected in Evans, Skoog or Lovett and the report said it is unknown if alcohol was detected in Redmond.

Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
