On May 14, University of Jamestown students, faculty and friends traveled to Italy for 10 days.
The group left Fargo May 14 and landed in Venice. They had a brief walking tour of La Serenissima before dinner and the first night in the hotel.
Other stops included Florence, Assisi, Sorento, Pompeii and Rome with side excursions for some to Pisa, Capri and San Gimignano.
“Our heads were awhirl with visions of fabulous art, Roman ruins, gorgeous vistas, small hill towns, and medieval streets,” said Phyllis Bratton, trip organizer.
Jamestown students on the trip were LaRissa Schlecht and Lexi Sveum.
