GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) -- The University of North Dakota is breaking ground for an addition to the Education Building on campus.
Lt. Gov. Jack Dalrymple was to join UND President Robert Kelley for the event Friday.
The addition will connect the Education Building and Gillette Hall. The North Dakota Legislature last year approved $11.2 million for the 14,000-square-foot project.
It is the first major renovation to the Education Building since it was built in 1953. The project will include 12 classrooms, two lecture halls, four seminar rooms, five conference rooms, and 93 faculty and staff offices.
