SEATTLE (AP) -- A Delta spokeswoman says an unruly passenger on a flight bound for Amsterdam forced pilots to return the plane to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport shortly after take-off.
Airline spokeswoman Leslie Parker says Flight 224 left the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at about 6:05 p.m. Saturday. About 30 minutes later, she says, a passenger disturbance prompted pilots to return to Seattle and the plane landed safely at 7:27 p.m. No one was injured.
Parker did not comment on the details of the disturbance.
She says the flight was canceled, and Delta plans to operate another flight specifically for the Amsterdam-bound passengers that will depart Sunday at about noon.
KIRO-TV in Seattle reported that Sea-Tac Airport and Delta officials were conducting a security sweep of the plane.
