No one was injured when a controlled burn got out of control Monday afternoon north of Buchanan, N.D., according to the Jamestown Rural Fire Department.
"It had got out of hand and crawled over the railroad tracks and headed north. That's when they called us," said Rick Woehl, fire chief.
An acre of cattails north in a slough burned around 3 p.m. Crews were at the fire for about an hour, Woehl said. Six firefighters and three trucks were on the scene.
