CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) -- Authorities say a truck spilled a load of wet distillers grain on an eastbound section of Interstate 94 about 20 miles west of Fargo, causing a slippery stretch that sent vehicles out of control and left three people hospitalized.

The Highway Patrol said a helicopter landed on the interstate to take one victim to the hospital and two others were transferred by ground ambulance after the crashes late Monday morning. The injuries were not believed to be serious.

Two snowplows were used to clear the mash off the interstate.
