Prior to joining RealTruck in 2007, he gained experience as director of sales and marketing at Agri-Cover. There he managed the sales and marketing teams, worked on development initiatives and spearheaded award-winning point-of-sale materials and national ad campaigns for print and television.
Since 2007, Vanlaningham has been a cornerstone of RealTruck. He is renowned for his ability to motivate and inspire through effective communication. He believes that frequent, strong communication is the key to success in any company. In addition, he believes in creating a fun and comfortable environment for employees. Under his leadership, RealTruck has created and implemented culture initiatives that have seen the company consistently ranked as one of the best places to work in North Dakota. In 2014 RealTruck was named “Top Place to Work” by the North Dakota Young Professionals Network and was listed as one of the top three places to work in the northern Great Plains by Prairie Business Magazine.
Vanlaningham’s presentation addressed how RealTruck developed from a small startup into a Top 500 internet company. He discussed how a shift in culture changed the company for the better, subsequent growth experienced, and what lies ahead for RealTruck.
