NEAR PARK RIVER, N.D. - The Walsh County state's attorney was hurt in a rollover crash Saturday morning near Park River, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.
Barbara Whelan, 52, was driving south on N.D. Highway 18 at around 9:45 a.m., about 5 miles east of Park River.
While trying to overtake another vehicle, Whelan lost control of her SUV and went into the west ditch and hit a culvert, which caused the vehicle to roll, the patrol said.
Whelan, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to First Care Hospital in Park River and was in stable condition.
According to a WDAY-TV report, Whelan has since been discharged from the hospital.
Whelan's SUV was totaled.
