The North Dakota Department of Transportation is advising drivers to be aware of overland flooding affecting roadways over the next several days.

With warmer temperatures expected across North Dakota in the coming days, the DOT is encouraging drivers to check road conditions before traveling due to rapidly changing conditions. Fluctuating water levels make it hard to predict where water will flow over a road. If drivers come upon a barricade in the road, they should seek another route.

For updated state road conditions call 511 or go to the DOT’s travel information map on its website at www.dot.nd.gov .
