Weather-related announcements in the Jamestown region

Weather has delayed the delivery of the Wednesday print edition of The Jamestown Sun. Members may access the E-edition of the Wednesday newspaper through www.jamestownsun.com.

City of Jamestown:

• No residential garbage or recycling collection on Wednesday. Wednesday’s routes will be collected Thursday, and Thursday's routes will be collected Friday.
• City Hall offices will be tentatively opening at noon Wednesday.

Jamestown Public Schools:
Jamestown Public School District will implement virtual learning for Wednesday, March 1. Virtual learning guidelines are posted on the district website.  Students and families can expect to see activities and resources by 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Delays:

• Jamestown Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, March 1, is delaying surgeries and outpatient services until 10 a.m. Patients can expect calls from our team to reschedule. The Emergency Department remains open and available 24 hours a day.
• City Hall offices will be tentatively opening at noon Wednesday.
  

Closures:

• Two Rivers Activity Center, including the OnTRAC Learning Center, and the Jamestown Parks and Recreation administration office.
• South Central Human Service Center and the regional vocational rehabilitation and child support offices in Jamestown and SCHSC’s outreach office in Valley City.
• Interstate 94 from Bismarck to Jamestown was expected to open at 2 p.m.
• Interstate 29 from Grand Forks to the South Dakota border was expected to open at 2 p.m.
• U.S. Highway 52 from Jamestown to Harvey was expected to open at 2 p.m.
• U.S. Highway 281 from Jamestown to the South Dakota border was expected to open at 2 p.m.
• Interstate 94 from Jamestown to Fargo is expected to open at 4 p.m.
