The Streeter area was blanketed with pea-sized hail Tuesday evening after a brief thunderstorm passed through the area.

Robin Iszler, resident of the area, said the hail fell for about 20 minutes. While the hailstones were small, they were numerous enough to blanket the ground. The storm was accompanied by about 50 mph winds which, along with the hail, damaged crops and gardens but no structural damage was reported, Iszler said.

The North Dakota Agricultural Weather Network automated reporting station at Streeter reported two storms passing through the area Tuesday night with wind gusts above 30 mph at about 6 p.m. and again at 11 p.m. NDAWN also reported 0.56 inches of rain with the systems.
