10 inches of snow reported


Jamestown is digging out from 10 inches of snow today, according to measurements taken at the North Dakota State Hospital heating plant.

Street crews were working in Jamestown clearing the downtown area at 6:30 a.m.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation lifted its no travel advisory as of 7 a.m. The travel information map maintained by the NDDOT showed all major roads in the Jamestown area as covered with ice and compacted snow.

The National Weather Service forecast for today includes partly cloudy skies and temperatures of about 27 degrees. Wind speeds are expected to gust to 24 mph from the northwest.
