Jamestown announces snow removal plans
Depending on the changing weather conditions, Jamestown street department crews could begin snow removal efforts at 5 a.m. Friday, according to information from the city engineer’s office.
Work would begin at that time on the emergency routes with crews moving to residential areas at 11 a.m. and returning to the downtown district at 11 p.m.
Property owners are asked to keep sidewalks adjoining their property clear of snow and ice. Snow and ice should not be deposited on city streets after the plows have cleared the area.
All plans are contingent on weather conditions and snow accumulation amounts.
The National Weather Service is forecasting 2 to 4 inches of snow today with another 2 to 4 inches of new snow overnight tonight. The snow is forecast to end Friday.
