Williams named to university dean's list

The College of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, announced that Christopher Williams was named to the dean's list for spring 2007. Williams, a senior majoring in physics and astronomy, earned a 3.9 grade point average. Williams is a 2004 graduate of Jamestown High School and the son of Steve and Ann Williams.

Williams was inducted into Sigma Pi Sigma physics honor society in March. He was recently elected president of the Society of Physics Students at Ohio State. Williams was awarded a summer position as a Center for Cosmology and Astro-Particle Physics Student research assistant in the Department of Astronomy at The Ohio State University. He will be continuing work on the ANITA experiment, a balloon-borne experiment studying high energy neutrinos in the Antarctic ice, doing data analysis.
