WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) -- The Williston City Commission is soliciting bids for an apartment building for city workers struggling to find affordable housing in the city amid the region's oil boom.
The Williston Herald reports commissioners voted Monday to get bids for the estimated $3.7 million project.
The preliminary design calls for a four-story building, with commercial space on the first floor and 18 apartments built above.
Commissioners say the building could be funded by tenants and revenue from oil and gas fees.
