GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) -- A Grand Forks woman who police said was breast-feeding her baby and holding the infant upside down while drunk last February has been sentenced to three more months in jail for slashing a tire on an acquaintance's pickup truck.

Twenty-seven-year-old Stacey Anvarinia pleaded guilty to misdemeanor criminal mischief and preventing arrest in the incident that happened Aug. 7, just hours after she was sentenced for child neglect. She told the judge Monday that she had been drinking and does not remember what happened.

Anvarinia's attorney, Gretchen Handy, says her client wants to receive treatment and reunite with her child, who is in the care of social services.

Anvarinia was sentenced in the child neglect case to 18 months in jail with all but six months suspended and given the opportunity to get credit for chemical dependency treatment. Anvarinia told the judge Monday that she will complete her original jail sentence in January.
