BISMARCK (AP) -- A woman has been sentenced to more than three years in prison for involuntary manslaughter in a fatal crash north of the Prairie Knights Casino south of this city.

Shalako White Lightning, 23, of Mobridge, S.D., was the driver of a sport utility vehicle that rolled three miles north of the casino last December, killing a 15-year-old Bismarck boy and injuring two others, U.S. Attorney Drew Wrigley said.

White Lightning was driving from Fort Yates to Solen to buy alcohol and was legally drunk, Wrigley said.

She was sentenced in U.S. District Court to three years and four months in prison and ordered to pay $11,000 in restitution. She will be on three years of supervised release after her prison term ends.
