WOODWORTH, N.D. — The Woodworth Cafe is hosting an event called a Meat n Greet Party from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, to honor local producers and their products.

The Meat n Greet Party includes an evening meal with locally sourced products. A majority of the food served will be from products within a 50-mile radius of Woodworth. Only a few items during the evening will include products from outside the 50-mile radius but still sourced with the Midwest.

The event supports the farm-to-table movement that calls on consumers to choose natural, often organic, locally-produced foods over imported and processed alternatives.

Reservations for the event can only be made by purchasing a ticket for $40 per person by Monday, Aug. 22. The purchase of a ticket includes a charcuterie board, appetizers, main course proteins, roasted potatoes, vegetables, dessert and two beverages.

To purchase tickets, call the Woodworth Cafe at (701) 752-4261.
