Work to begin on overpass bridge near Jamestown

Construction will begin Monday, Sept. 17 on the U.S. 281 overpass bridge over Interstate 94 near Jamestown, the North Dakota Department of Transportation said Wednesday. Construction will take place from 24th Street Southwest north to 20th Street Southwest on U.S. 281. The project consists of concrete deck repairs and installation of traffic signals.

During construction:

*Speeds will be reduced

*Traffic over the U.S. 281 overpass bridge will be reduced to one lane

ADVERTISEMENT

*A 12-foot-width restriction will be in place

*Flaggers will be present

*Oversize loads will not be permitted on U.S. 281 over the I-94 bridge

The project is expected to be complete at the end of October.
