I'm responding to the guy in the paper who's mad about fireworks. Are you kidding me? We shoot off fireworks once a year and he wants to ban them forever? If he doesn't want to celebrate his freedom it doesn't mean he has to be a killjoy for everyone else! He should move his truck if he doesn't want to find fireworks by it. That way he won't need to worry about finding one little bottle rocket by it.
California is in a drought almost every year. It has forest fires that start on their own out there. There's a reason why fireworks are banned there. Last year in Bismarck people weren't even allowed to smoke outside unless there was an ashtray by them.
How about he goes and fights the war, like he said everyone else should? I know soldiers who would be more than willing to give him their gun.
Children shooting off fireworks isn't a crime, and yet he's willing to send a 10-year-old to fight the war? Good one! And another thing, I think fireworks are a good way to celebrate freedom, and again it's once a year. So if he's not going to stand behind our troops, he can feel free to stand in front of them!
