Stephanie Zimmerman, daughter of Michael and Perihan Zimmerman, James-town, recently received a Freshman Academic Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. The North Dakota State University scholarship is awarded to incoming first year students who have demonstrated strong academic achievement.
Zimmerman will enter NDSU this fall.
In high school, she was active in National Honor Society, Americorps, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Students Working Against Tobacco, German club, cheerleading and speech.
