Stutsman County has 16 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths were reported, according to information released Friday, Dec. 18, from the North Dakota Department of Health. The state reported 509 new positive cases, and Stutsman County has 122 active positive cases.
The two deaths in Stutsman County, a man in his 80s and a woman in her 90s, were among 21 deaths reported in the state related to COVID-19. The other deaths occurred in people ranging in age from their 60s to their 90s and included four in McLean County, three in each of Cass and Grand Forks counties, two in each of Morton and Ward counties, and one in Barnes, Kidder, Stark and Wells counties.
There have been 1,225 deaths in the state related to COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
Other counties in the Jamestown region reporting cases were Barnes and Dickey, seven; Wells, six; LaMoure and McIntosh, three; Eddy, Foster, Griggs, Kidder and Logan, two.
There are 3,061 total active cases of coronavirus in the state. The state's daily positivity rate is 5.91%.
