20 positive coronavirus tests reported in Stutsman Thursday

The North Dakota Department of Health reported 20 positive tests for the coronavirus Thursday in Stutsman County.

The department also reported 17 deaths in North Dakota from seven counties including the death of a woman in her 90s from Barnes County. The death toll in North Dakota now stands at 1,260 people since the start of the pandemic in March.

Across North Dakota, the department reported 226 positive tests for a daily positivity rate of 2.7%

Currently, there are 2,321 active cases in North Dakota with 122 people in the hospital due to COVID-19.

Area counties reporting new coronavirus cases include four positive tests reported in Dickey County, three in Foster County, two in Barnes and LaMoure counties and one in Kidder County.

The Department of Health announced that it would not be releasing coronavirus statistics on Christmas Day.
