PIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota Department of Health reported 48 new positive COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, July 28. That brings the total case count to 8,492.
Active cases decreased to 895, a decrease of 22 cases from Monday. Current hospitalizations increased by two to 49 on Tuesday. Total recoveries from the virus increased to 7,474, an increase of 70 from Monday.
No new deaths were reported Tuesday, leaving the death toll at 123.
