PIERRE, S.D. — Eighty new cases of COVID-19 were reported in South Dakota on Friday, July 31.
That brings the state’s total number of positive cases to 8,764, according to the South Dakota Department of Health.
Of those positive cases, 7,761 have recovered.
One more person has died of COVID-19 in the state, bringing the death toll to 130.
Active cases increased to 873 on Friday from 866 on Thursday.
There are 31 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19 in the state.
