BISMARCK — The North Dakota Department of Health reported 431 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, Sept. 13, with a decline in testing from 9,603 to 8,505.

Burleigh County reported the highest number of active cases with 513 active cases, an increase of 90. Neighboring Morton County added 42 cases. Cass County reported 87 new cases, bringing the number of active cases to 452.

Grand Forks County, Stutsman County, Stark County, Emmons County, Williams County and Ward County all recorded a double-digit increase in cases — 15, 38, 35, 10, 18 and 26 respectively.

Adams, Barnes, Benson, Bowman, Dickey, Griggs, Hettinger, LaMoure, Logan, McHenry, McIntosh, McKenzie, Mercer, Mountrail, Nelson, Oliver, Pierce, Ransom, Renville, Rolette, Sioux, Traill and Walsh counties each added five or fewer new cases.

One COVID-19 death was reported — a woman in her 60s from Benson County with underlying health conditions. So far, 168 North Dakotans have died from COVID-19. Sixty-two are currently hospitalized.

Active cases rose by 220, bringing the number throughout the state to 2,754.
