BISMARCK — Following are the North Dakota Department of Health COVID-19 case rates, deaths, hospitalizations and vaccinations as of Saturday, Feb. 27. Because all data is preliminary, some numbers and totals may change from one day to the next.
Statewide case rates
- NEW CASES: 71
- TOTAL ACTIVE CASES: 657
- TOTAL CASES: 99,780
- TOTAL RECOVERED: 97,678
- DAILY TEST POSITIVITY RATE: 1,445
Fargo's Cass County added a total of 18 new cases. Both Burleigh County and Stark County reported seven new cases. Grand Forks County tallied six new cases.
Cass County had 138 active cases Saturday. Burleigh County reported 95.
ACTIVE HOSPITALIZATIONS: 21
NEWLY-REPORTED DEATHS: 3
TOTAL DEATHS: 1,445
The department reported three new deaths Saturday, though identifying details of the deceased were unknown. Hospitalizations remained level from Friday's figure.
FIRST DOSE ADMINISTERED: 126,570
COMPLETED SERIES (Two doses): 69,786
A total of 211,507 shots have been administered to North Dakotans. Residents are urged to seek more information at Health.ND.gov/covidvaccinelocator.
Nationwide, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported 28.3 million COVID-19 cases as well as 508,949 deaths attributed to the virus. According to the CDC, 72.8 million vaccines have been administered.
