SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The following are the South Dakota Department of Health COVID-19 case rates, deaths, hospitalizations and vaccinations as of Friday, April 30. Because all data is preliminary, some numbers and totals may change from one day to the next.
The Department of Health reported five new deaths due to COVID-19, raising the state's pandemic death toll to 1,967. Active cases declined to 1,624, the lowest daily count since August.
