Elizabeth Coleman

Elizabeth Ann (Rosberg) Coleman, age 88 of Belle Plaine, passed away on December 26, 2019 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.

Elizabeth was born on her dad’s birthday, January 17, 1931 to Harry and Lila (Inglis) Rosberg at St. John’s Hospital in Fargo, ND.

She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1948 and attended Concordia College for one year before working in the office at Northern States Power. She then returned to Concordia and received her Degree in Business Education in 1953.

She taught for one year in Parkers Prairie, MN. In 1954 she married Robert W. Coleman in Moorhead, MN. They lived in Moorhead a short time before moving to Ellendale, ND where Robert (Bob) was employed at the Coleman Clothing Store. Elizabeth taught in the Ellendale High School for 25 years before retiring.

Robert died in 1997, and Elizabeth continued to reside in Ellendale until 2004 when she returned to Moorhead. She has lived in Belle Plaine since August of 2015.

Survivors include her three sons and their spouses, John (Ann) of Virginia Beach, VA, Richard (Tammie) of Belle Plaine, MN, and Alan (Rebecca) of Dayton, MN. 8 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, sister-in-law and a great grandchild.

According to her wishes, she will be buried next to her husband in the Ellendale Cemetery. There will be a private family service at that time.
