George Alan Lee

George Alan Lee, age 66, of Park River, North Dakota passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 of pancreatic cancer.

George was born September 30, 1954 at Jamestown, North Dakota and was the first born son of George R. Lee and Agnes (Wenzel) Lee. Graduating from Jamestown High School in 1972 he joined the US Navy being honorably discharged in 1976 with a rank of E-5. While in California he obtained an Associate’s Degree at Reedley College and a private pilot’s license. The next years were spent fixing airplanes while having a part time business. Moving back to Jamestown in 1983 he married Renee Slind and they had a daughter Kayla Lee who joined two other siblings Damean and Danielle Rosemore.

Other career accomplishments were Aviation Instructor at Thief River Falls, Minnesota and University of North Dakota, 20 years as an instructor and principal at Midway Public Schools and three degrees from University of North Dakota with awards for Academic Excellence.

A special thanks to Dr. Robert Sticca (Sanford Health), Dr. Preston Steen (Roger Maris Cancer Center) and Jim and Holli at Dakota Engine Builders, Jamestown. Also many thanks to family Greg Lee (brother), Anita Wynes and Alvina Hollingsworth (aunts) for visiting and support during this long journey.

George is survived are his wife, three children: Kayla Lee, Colorado, Damean Rosemore, Fargo, ND; Danielle Rosemore, Grafton, ND; his brother Greg, Jamestown, ND and sister Gloria (Pat) McCarthy, Colorado. George is preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda.
