Larry Diede

Larry Diede, 82, Jamestown, ND passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning October 13, 2020 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND in the care of nursing staff and hospice guardian angels.

Larry Diede was born July 3, 1938 at Lehr, ND the son John J. Diede and Lydia (Goebel) Diede. He received his elementary education in Lehr and Pingree, ND.

He was united in marriage to Grace Kracht on July 22, 1960 at Pingree Congregational Church. He worked various jobs and he worked 43 years for Mayer Truck Line as a Driver and later as a dispatcher. Following his retirement, he enjoyed working outdoors at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Larry enjoyed many past times which included yardwork, trips to casinos, riding his scooter, visiting with friends and spending time with family. His biggest pride was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Grace, children Rick, Sherry (Douglas) Sand, Dean (Lanette) all of Jamestown, ND; Lori (Kelly) Fast, Roosevelt, MN, Larry Scott (Vicky), Jamestown, ND, son-in-law, Dave Hillius, Jamestown, 23 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 sister Marlys Perleberg and sister in laws, Rinalde Diede, Frances Diede and Edith Zerface.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter Shelly, 2 brothers, Ivan and Wallace and 1 brother-in-law, John Perleberg,

Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Thursday October 15, 2020 in the Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND with Rev. Steve Berntson, officiating

Arrangements are by the Haut Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center in Jamestown, ND.
