Michael D. Fitchett

Michael Damian Fitchett, born September 29, 1966 in Camp Pendleton, California, passed away on December 9, 2022.

Michael lived and worked in the Twin Cities and later, in 1998, moved to Denver, Colorado. Here he was employed in the mortgage business and also worked in accounting. While living in the Denver area, he met and married Brenda Sarconi and their daughter, Megan, was born. He lived for a short time in Grand Island, Nebraska, then moved to Houston, Texas where he worked in the gas industry.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Capt. Vernon H. Fitchett, MC, USN (Ret). He is survived by his daughter Megan Kay Fitchett, mother Kathryn Mikwold, sister Elizabeth (Michael) Schielke, brother Benjamin (Lisa) Fitchett, nephews Tyler Schielke, Austin Schielke, Luke Schielke, Evan Fitchett, Matthew Fitchett, and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and loved ones.

Michael’s love of music and singing provided him and those around him good times and enjoyment. Rest in peace, Michael! God bless you! We love you!

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 9:30 am at St Columbkille Catholic Church in Papillion, NE, with mass following at 10:30 am. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery.  Memorials in Michael’s name are suggested to Vincent DePaul Charity.
