The Jamestown Sun hands out these bravos this week:
* Bravo to three members of the Christianson family who are currently serving with the Jamestown Fire Department. They are Gordon “Gordie” Christianson, his son, Glenn, and grandson, Grant. Gordie and Glenn have served for a combined 76 years and Grant is an apprentice.
* Bravo to R.M. Stoudt and participants in the annual Running of the Pink, held on June 6 in Jamestown. R.M. Stoudt sponsors the event, which raises funds for breast and cervical cancer screenings through the Women’s Way program and Jamestown Regional Medical Center Foundation. A 5K walk and 5K and 10K runs were held.
* Buffalo chip to the seemingly endless supply of mosquitoes Jamestown has right now. It can be a challenge to enjoy the outdoors right now - unless you’re equipped with repellent.
