The Jamestown Sun hands out these bravos this week:

  • Bravo to Jamestown again becoming a site for the North Dakota State Disc Golf Tournament that was held Sept. 13-15. And bravo to the Jamestown Parks and Recreation and Stutsman County Park departments for working to bring the courses up to par again after maintenance declined in previous years, which helped bring the tournament back to Jamestown.
  • Bravo to North Dakota 4-H clubs that were recognized for incorporating nutrition, fitness and health activities in their meetings during the 2018-19 year. The clubs were designated Healthy North Dakota 4-H Clubs for the year and eight were also recognized for completing the Family Mealtime Challenge. The area clubs recognized included Busy Butterflies Country Critters and Country Kids in Stutsman County, LaMoure Clover Leafs in LaMoure County, Farmerettes and Willing Workers in Kidder County and Valley City 4-H in Barnes County.

Editorials are the opinion of Jamestown Sun management and the newspaper’s editorial board.
