Supporting the Red Kettle Campaign this holiday season will help the community by ensuring Jamestown Salvation Army programs and support are available to people and families in need.
The Red Kettle Campaign runs through Dec. 24. Volunteer bell ringers are still needed for two-hour shifts between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. with the kettles in the Buffalo Mall, Walmart, Hugo's Family Marketplace and Cash Wise Foods.
The Jamestown Salvation Army’s goal this year is $168,000. Donations to the Red Kettle Campaign will help fund Jamestown Salvation Army programs, Those programs include emergency relief with rent, utilities, lodging, prescriptions, assisting stranded travelers, meals, the food pantry and seasonal programs such as the Angel Tree and Coats for Kids.
People may also donate by calling 1-800-sal-army or online at www.salvationarmynorth.org/jamestown.
Donations this holiday season help support programs that help others all year long.
