Bravo to Louis L’Amour students

The Jamestown Sun hands out these bravos this week:

*Bravo to Boden Skunberg, Jamestown High School junior who surpassed 1,000 career points in boys basketball, making him the sixth Blue Jay to do so. Skunberg reached 1,001 points after scoring a game-high 28 points in defeating Dickinson 101-55 on Feb. 2.

*Bravo to the North Dakota 4-H state champion hippology team, which placed first in the Western National Roundup last month in Denver. Among the team members was Victoria Christensen of Stutsman County. Hippology is the study of horses, and the contest included all aspects of the horse.

*Bravo to students at Louis L’Amour Elementary School who helped write a virtual learning bill that local lawmakers introduced in the North Dakota Legislature. Although the bill received a do-not-pass recommendation in the House Education Committee, fourth- and fifth-grade Louis L’Amour students got to see the bill debated at the Capitol in the committee, and two students testified about the bill.
