The Jamestown hands out these bravos this week:

*Bravo to Issy Holmquist and Kaeonna Radtke, Girl Scouts who earned their Silver Award in scouting for accomplishing a “sustainable project that benefits the community” and requires 60 to 80 hours of work. The two created a Rock Garden and added to the Girl Scout Memory Wall at Frontier Village.

*Bravo to the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce for the Yard of the Week program. The Yard of the Week, which concluded for the 2019 season this week, recognized homeowners with beautiful yards in Jamestown.

*Bravo to Project Safe Send, which collected a record amount of unusable pesticides this summer, according to the North Dakota Department of Agriculture. The department said more than 260 tons were collected, beating the 2015 record of 190 tons. The Project Safe Send program gives people a safe way to dispose of unwanted pesticides for free and was conducted in July in 12 North Dakota cities.
